RATES AND FEE SCHEDULE
Effective May 2023
PROFESSIONAL FEE $10,000/day*
$ 5,000/half-day
A half-day mediation includes up to four (4) hours of mediation/hearing time. A full day includes up to eight (8) hours of mediation/hearing time. Hourly rate following the reserved day (4 hours or 8 hours) is $800/hour. In order to set the mediation up for the greatest success, Mediator does not limit her personal preparation time before the mediation/hearing date and does not bill for that time. Mediator conducts a PRE-MEDIATION CONFERENCE with each of the parties separately and preferably after the brief is submitted. Mediator encourages counsel and client and/or client representatives, as well as insured(s), to attend. The PRE-MEDIATION CONFERENCE is generally between one to two (1-2) hours per side and additional pre-mediation communications commonly occur and generally range one to four (1-4) hours, all at no extra charge. Please note that the parties are responsible for time reserved and unused Mediation time is non-refundable. *Customized fee for “evaluative mediations” based on case specific needs and time parameters.
The professional fee applies to mediations VIA ZOOM or IN PERSON in the greater Southern California area, including Los Angeles, Orange, San Diego, Santa Barbara and Ventura counties. Information on travel rates is available upon request.
NO ADMINISTRATIVE FEE $0
CANCELLATION OR RESCHEDULING 21 or more calendar days prior to date of Mediation
Notice of Cancellation or Rescheduling of Mediation must be submitted in writing as soon as possible to Mediator and opposing counsel. If notice of cancellation or rescheduling is received 21 or more calendar days prior to the confirmed first date of Mediation, professional fees will be refunded. If notice is provided 20 or fewer days prior to the date of the confirmed first date of Mediation, the Professional Fees will not be refunded, and the party that requests the continuance or cancellation shall be responsible for all the fees for the Mediation. Our office will try to rebook the time to mitigate these fees and will refund a portion of the fees if the date is rebooked. However, if rebooking is not possible, no portion of the fees will be refunded.
Professional fees are due immediately upon invoicing. To guarantee the reserved date, our office must receive payment, either via wire or check, within seven (7) business days from the date of the invoice. Michelle Lee Flores, Esq., PC reserves the right to cancel any proceeding due to non-payment or untimely payment of professional fees.
